Rapid high purity lead-free tin / copper solder is a cost-effective and versatile alternative to conventional lead solder and is suitable for all but the most demanding general purpose applications.
Q. What is the recommended iron tip temperature and is it different for the 22SWG version.
A. Hi Geof. Thank you for your question. I would recommend 350 degrees to 375 degrees for both types of solder wire.

Lead Free solder

In many years I have used a variety of lead free solder from all of the usual brands and catalogue suppliers, including some quite expensive types with a high silver content.
I have never bought the same type twice - finding most difficult to use, poor flow, including wicking through plated holes, difficult to re melt - and dull looking joints.
So I was very surprised to find the Rapid lead free solder so nice to use - with attractive shiny joints - and good flowing properties.
I will certainly re-order this type when my reel runs out!
