We recommend that schools use lead-free solder for all projects.
I bought this as I am currently doing quite a few electronic projects and I have found the lead free solder is just not up to the job sometimes. I have bought the thinner version of this solder as well, but wanted a thicker solder for bigger jobs.
This leaded solder is more flexible and resilient for long term use. This solder flows very well and makes perfect joints every time. There is clearly plenty of resin in the core and the results are just what I was after.
If you are after a leaded solder, you should give this a try; you won't be disappointed.
