Stannol Kolophonium Acid-Free Rosin Flux is an acid-free flux suitable for electronics.
Colophony (also referred to as rosin) is an amber-coloured brittle, glassy solid at room temperature and becomes liquid at temperatures of 80 to 100°C.
In practical use, small amounts can be chipped off and dissolved in isopropyl alcohol (IPA), or it can be melted by gentle heat from a soldering iron. The resulting liquid can then be brushed or dripped onto the item to be soldered.
